I have been eating seafood 2 times a week for as long as I can recall, for health benefits; it provides Natural Omega-3. I always try to cook something different each time I serve seafood; it can be tiring to eat the same thing over and over. I don’t want my meals to be drab and dull. Wanting to try something new, I purchased Gorton’s Skillet Crisp Tilapia this past week. I’m the worlds worst at making up my mind so I tossed a coin (not really) between the two choices of Skillet Tilapia. The classic seasoning won out over the garlic and herb. I have no doubt in my mind that the garlic and herb would be just as tasty as the classic seasoning was.
I looked over Gorton’s recipes but decided I wanted to try the Tilapia by itself instead of in a recipe. It just looked like it was going to be tasty, straight from the skillet (and it was, OH! IT WAS). Preparing the Tilapia was super easy. I coated my cast iron skillet with olive oil and put the frozen fish in it. I let it cook on each side 8 – 10 minutes as directed. While it was cooking, I fixed my side dish. This was one of the simplest seafood meals I have ever made. The seasoning was positively delicious.
This product has the perfect amount of seasoning, it turned a nice golden color while cooking & the fish was flaky and tender. I will serve this again as well as the garlic and herb seasoned Tilapia.
