My Victorian Dome Watch is one of the most beautiful accessory on my desk. I have always loved pocket watches and I prefer one to a wrist watch any day. Keeping this in mind, I absolutely love the brass replica pocket watch displayed inside the dome. It’s displayed on a cherry wood base and it’s one of the most unique and unusual ways I’ve ever seen to display the time.
On the brass replica pocket watch, the numbers are displayed with Roman Numerals. There is a Latin expression displayed on it “Tempus fugit’ which basically means time flies. It sits on a little stand that is indented to keep the watch from sliding and the loop secures well with the wood peg made into the stand. Under the expression is a little star and at the very bottom of the face of the pocket watch is a mermaid giving this a bit of a nautical feel as well as Victorian. This watch has a hour, minute and second hand. Everything about the pocket watch is so nostalgic to me. It has the wow factor I look for in items of interest.
Whether you display this on a desk or shelf, it’s sure to draw attention as mine has.
