    Chicken Tortilla Soup

    Prep Time: 10 minutes / Cook Time: 8-9 hours on LOW or 4-5 hours on HIGH
    Chicken Tortilla Soup
    Serves 6

    Ingredients
    2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
    2 cups frozen corn, thawed
    1 onion, chopped
    1 package Crock-Pot Savory Herbed Chicken Seasoning Mix
    4 cups chicken broth
    1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes in juice
    1 can (4 oz.) Ortega diced green chilies
    1 tablespoon cumin
    crushed tortilla chips or flour or corn tortillas, (optional)

    Arrange chicken, corn and onion in slow cooker. Combine Seasoning Mix with chicken broth, diced tomatoes, chilies and cumin and pour over chicken and vegetables. Cover and cook on Low 8 to 9 hours or High 4 to 5 hours. Remove chicken and shred using 2 forks. Return chicken to slow cooker. Stir in crushed tortilla chips or torn flour or corn tortillas, if desired.

    Savory CrockPot Pot Roast

    Boneless Chuck Roast
    1 Pack CrockPot Beef Stew Seasoning
    2 chopped onions
    2 cloves chopped garlic
    1 chopped green bellpepper
    1 chopped red bell pepper
    3 gold potatoes cubed
    6 carrots peeled and cut
    2 stalks chopped celery
    3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
    1 cup water

    Chop one onion and one clove garlic fine and mix worcestershire sauce. Cut small pockets into roast and stuff mixture of onion and garlic into roast. Place meat and chopped vegetables into slow cooker. Mix CrockPot Savory Pot Roast seasoning pack with one cup water and pour over roast and vegetables. Cover and cook 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high. Enjoy!

    Moroccan Chicken Stew

    Serves 8

    Ingredients
    1 20-ounce package cut-up butternut squash, about 4 cups
    1 onion, sliced
    1/2 cup chopped apricots
    2 1/2 to 3 pounds skinless, boneless chicken thighs
    1 package Crock-Pot Savory Herbed Chicken Seasoning Mix
    1 can (14 oz.) diced tomatoes
    1 cup chicken broth or water
    2 tablespoons tomato paste
    2 teaspoons cumin
    1 teaspoon ginger
    1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 can (15 oz.) chick peas
    1/4 cup toasted sliced almonds, (optional)
    hot cooked couscous

    Arrange squash, onion and apricots in slow cooker. Place chicken on top of vegetables. Combine Seasoning Mix with tomatoes, broth, tomato paste, cumin, ginger and cinnamon and pour over chicken and vegetables.

    Cover and cook on Low 7 to 8 hours or High 4 to 5 hours or. Stir in chick peas and cook 15 minutes or until hot. Sprinkle with almonds and serve over couscous with lemon wedges.

    I most want to try the Savory Herb Chicken Sesoning but I would put it on a roast because I like having savory herbs on my roast ^ potato crockpot meal & often add chicken borth so this would be like both in one easy step!

    I would use this: savory-pot-roast-seasoning mix..I actually made this on Sunday lol

    I put my beef chuck roast in my slow cooker(I actually season & sear all sides in a pan first for more depth of flavor/drippings) then I add it to the slow cooker with a bit of water(de glaze my pan)..and onions, carrots, mushrooms, bell peppers & a little worcestire(sp?) sauce and/or A-1

    slow cook for about 4 hours on low…then I serve over rice with steamed corn and cornbread or biscuits..yum!! easy too! oh, and I add golden mushroom soup from the can near the last 30 mins or so.

  19. Barbecue Beef Brisket Sandwiches

    Ingredients

    1 (pound ) brisket, trimmed
    1 1/2 teaspoon(s) coarse sea salt
    3/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
    1 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
    1 large onion, coarsely chopped
    1 1/2 tablespoon(s) garlic, minced
    1/2 cup(s) dark beer, (such as porter or stout)
    1 tablespoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
    2 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
    3 tablespoon(s) honey
    1/2 cup(s) ketchup
    1 teaspoon(s) paprika
    8 kaiser (or other sandwich) rolls

    Directions

    1.Cook the brisket: Season the brisket with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the brisket, brown on all sides, and transfer to a slow cooker.

    2.Add the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker and stir well. Slow-cook, covered, until the meat is very tender — 8 hours. Remove the meat, place it on a cutting board, and let it rest for 15 minutes. Reserve the sauce.

    3.Carve brisket into thin slices and divide it among kaiser rolls topped with reserved sauce. Serve warm.

    Repeat layer using one third of polenta followed by remaining zucchini, onion, tomato, beans and Seasoning Mix. Sprinkle with 1/3 of cheese, top with remaining polenta. Cover and cook on High 3 to 4 hours or Low 7 to 8 hours. Sprinkle remaining cheese over polenta. Keep covered until cheese melts.

    1-2 lbs round steak cut into bite-sized pieces
    1 pkg Crockpot beef stroganoff seasoning
    1 can of sliced mushrooms
    1 can of cream of mushroom soup
    1 can of cream of celery soup
    1 small onion
    1 cup sour cream

    Mix all together in crockpot and cook on low..8-12 hours. Serve over a bed of egg noodles.
