Peeling made easier with my Priority Chef Vegitable Peeler

Brought to you by Priority Chef and Terri’s Little Haven.

I have heard and read some good things about the premium cooking accessories at Priority Chef and one of the products I really wanted for my kitchen was their Dual Julienne and Vegetable Peeler. I believe that anyone who does not know me personally might be surprised at just how much time I spend in my cozy kitchen. I love to cook and bake and when I’m having a bad pain day from my back injuries, cooking soothes me to the point my pain level decreases. There’s just something therapeutic about getting my hands all gooey in bread and pastry dough and many other favorite dishes I love to bake. I also love to cook on the stove and I try to be really creative with my meals. The prettier my food dishes look, the better chance I have that the kids will eat it.

While I’d love to spend my every waking moment cooking, I can’t stand for long periods of time so having the best kitchen accessories is a must. I have to look for time saving accessories or risk increasing my pain level. What I’ve heard and read about the Dual Julienne and Vegetable Peeler is that it’s so sharp, it can actually save a lot of time when preparing vegetables. Another plus is that it’s stainless steel (durable) and can be washed in the dishwasher although I’ve been washing mine by hand as was recommended.

Lets check it out. This is the package that my Priority Chef product came in. The peeler is not too big but definitely big enough.

I admit it looks sharp, but, is it really?

Well, I’d have to agree that this is the sharpest vegetable peeler I’ve ever owned. It peels vegetables with ease and preciseness. It doesn’t gouge into the vegetable, only removing the outer (skin) layer.

I got a little carried away with my potatoes lol. I’ve been having so much fun experimenting and becoming familiar with my new toy. I mean seriously, what’s not to like with this amazing premium 2 in 1 zoodle maker and peeler?

The handle is long enough that you get a nice big gripping area and I’ve not had any trouble with it slipping even when my hands are soaking wet from washing vegetables.

The possibilities are endless with what this dual Julienne and Vegetable peeler can do.

Be sure to check out this fantastic must have kitchen accessory at Amazon; Julienne Peeler – Vegetable Peeler. You will receive an eBook with lots of informative usage tips as well as a full list of recipes.

What would you use your Priority Chef Julienne and Vegetable peeler for? Carrots, zucchini, potatoes, something else?

Floating Glass Locket Necklace Giveaway #TinseledTokens

Brought to you by Tinseled Tokens and Terri’s Little Haven.

I have always loved lockets and giving them as gifts to young ladies has always seemed like a good idea. I will always remember the ones I had as a young girl. I kept secretive things in mine because you couldn’t see what was in them with the way they were designed back in my day. As I got older, I’d keep photos in my locket necklaces. And now, I still wear locket necklaces although my ideas of what to put in them have varied over the years. I’ve even been known to make charms. Every time I go to the fair I head for the booths that have charms for my lockets. Some of my favorite ones I’ve ordered online. Locket necklaces are the perfect gift for any one and for any occasion.

I’ve recently had the pleasure of being selected to review and give away to one of my readers, a Tinseled Tokens Floating Locket Necklace. After I tell you a little about it, you can enter for a chance to win one for yourself. Thanks to Tinseled Tokens for sponsoring the giveaway. If you are not a jewelry kind of gal, be sure to enter for a chance to win this for someone who is a jewelry kind of gal. It’s never too early to start on Christmas (great stocking stuffers).

Tinseled Tokens Floating Locket Necklace

The lockets and the necklace are silver in color and the necklace is what I call a snake chain. It feels smooth to the touch and is a generous 18 inches long. The locket opens wide and can hold quite a few charms. Mine came with charms but the giveaway winners locket necklace will not. I just wanted to point that out. There are charms available on Amazon.

Tinseled Tokens Floating Glass Locket Necklace

The locket snaps shut magnetically and is large enough to hold quite a few charms. I already had the charms photographed below but I just wanted you to see that it can hold these plus several more. You can customize your locket to each individual that you buy one for (you’ll want one too). Like I said, I buy charms when I find ones that I really like & that have a personalized meaning behind them.

Again, the necklace is 18 inches long which is a really nice length for a necklace.

The clasp is a lobster clasp so you don’t have to worry about losing your necklace. It’s a quality made necklace as well as a quality made locket. Anyone would be proud to own one.

If you live in the US and are 18 plus (please remember that the charms are not included), you can use the giveaway form below to enter. Thank you for participating and good luck.

Top first time mortgage deals

Unless you’ve won the Lottery, inherited money, saved up from a very early age or gone straight into a job which pays handsomely, you are a hostage to fortune when applying for your first mortgage.

Without a mega deposit you’ll have to shop around for something you can afford, just to clamber on to that ladder, and the chances are that the interest rate may be painful. You may have seen an offer which appears tasty at first glance - Click here to use The Money Advice Service mortgage calculator which can give you an assessment of its viability.

The assumption is that your deposit will be somewhere in the low thousands, and therefore you might be restricted in what you can borrow. A lender will typically lend a certain multiple of your income or joint income. The more you have saved for the deposit, the better your LTV (Loan to Value) ratio will be, and the more options you will enjoy. The Government Help to Buy scheme makes it possible to get a mortgage with just a 5% deposit, and is well worth investigating.

Start planning ahead – perhaps even in your mid-to-late teenage years – and you’ll already be ahead of the pack. A strong employment history, of staying in jobs longer then a few weeks here and there, will help convince lenders that you are reliable.

Use comparison websites to look at all the relevant figures, not just interest rates. First-time buyers tend to be young people who move around. If this is you, and you plan to sell in 2-3 years for whatever reason, think before locking yourself into a five year initial rate that might enjoy a juicy interest rate – but also incurs punishing charges if you want to break out.

If you have been prudent and intend to plan ahead, then you might not want to automatically go for the lowest payment per month, as a higher value might pay off the mortgage faster depending on interest rate. The difference between a 20 and 25 year term might not bother you too much now, but you may think differently when you hit middle age -and realise you could have paid things off sooner with a touch more diligence.

A final tip: look for some perks. Bear in mind that you’ll need a few extra thousands for the extras – solicitors’ fees, set-up fees, stamp duty, valuations and surveys, and moving costs.

Your first time mortgage deal might not quite be perfect, but if it gets you on the property ladder and therefore on the journey towards owning your own home without destroying you economically, then it has served its purpose.

ReDesign Home Blog Hop, coming in Nov. Sponsors wanted #HomeReDesign

November is ReDesign month and who doesn’t like to spruce up their home? New lamps, rugs, pillows, tablecloths, towels, blankets, bedding and just about anything colorful and new can change the look of your home (I’ve got my eye on some new gypsy curtains for the bedroom). November is the month when I like to paint. It’s cooler outside (and the dreaded gnats are in hiding) so I drag my wood furniture and or wood accessories out to give each piece a fresh new look. It’s a really inexpensive way to brighten up any space. I also like to buy new home decor to go with the old. It’s a lot easier to face the drab winter months with a spruced up home.

Because I love re-designing my home and look for any reason to give it a new look, Terri’s Little Haven is participating in a ReDesign Home blog hop in November and I’m currently seeking sponsors for review/giveaway items. If your product fits in with the topic, please contact me (terrishaven (@) The prize value must be $25 or greater. I will post a review of the product in the same post as the giveaway.

What’s in it for you? Traffic for one, to your website. I always ask giveaway participants to visit the sponsor site as my number 1 entry option. Followers on your social media sites for another. I will include up to 3 of your social media links in my giveaway. Need more email subscribers? I can make that happen for you as well. Visitors, followers, subscribers. Sound good?

There will be many other bloggers participating in the Home ReDesign Blog Hop so my readers will visit their sites and their readers will visit mine. Think of all the publicity your product is going to get. We will be directing traffic back and forth with lots of great home redesign products to give away. It’s a win-win blog hop.

Again, if your product or products meet the criteria which is Home ReDesign (furniture, accessories, etc), please contact me to set up a review/giveaway to run during November 3-13. I promote, promote, promote, all of the events I participate in.

Bloggers, if you would like to participate in this fun giveaway hop (the more the merrier), or companies if you would like more information, please click here and visit ReviewIt PR for more information.

Framesi Color Lover Giveaway Shampoo & Conditioner #beautycarechoices

Brought to you by BeautyCareChoices and Terri’s Little Haven.

If you color your hair or know someone who does, be sure to continue reading and enter my giveaway for a chance to win Framesi color lover shampoo and Framesi color lover conditioner.

I tried the Framesi shampoo and conditioner for the first time, on the day that it arrived. I used it yesterday on Alyssa while she was here so I could give a demonstration to some friends who also color their hair, and her hair smelled so good all day. I love products that not only work, but also provide uplifting scents as well. Alyssa’s hair was so bouncy after shampooing it that she kept flipping it over her shoulder. Everyone was commenting on the shine, the bounce, and the heavenly scent and wanted to know everything there was to know about the shampoo & conditioner and the company.

The Framesi shampoo is white in color and feels luxurious while I’m washing my hair. It lathers up with very little use. I use a little larger than a quarter size amount on my hair after I wet it and that’s all it takes to have clean, wonderful smelling hair. Because Alyssa’s hair is so long, I used a larger amount, but not much larger. One of the perks of this shampoo is that it provides volume and lift to thin, limp hair.

Framesi Color Lover Volume Boost Shampoo & Conditioner

Framesi Color Lover Volume Boost Shampoo & Conditioner

The conditioner is white-ish gray in color and does not leave my hair feeling oily like some conditioners do. I love the pump that comes with this conditioner. Not having to open the lid to use it is really convenient. It smells just as good as the shampoo and I have to confess that I love the smell so much that I have been using the conditioner to shave my legs. My legs feel smooth and silky soft after shaving. I always use conditioner to shave with. I don’t know why. I just do.

The shampoo and the conditioner retail for $19.89 (16.9 oz) each and can be purchased by clicking on the above links. If you would like the chance to try to win a retail size of 16.9 oz of both the shampoo and conditioner, use the following giveaway form. No mandatory entries, just do the ones you want to. Do not claim the ones you didn’t do please :). US 18+ to enter.
