Try Out The Local Cuisine

Spanish food and culture are to die for! Be sure to enjoy meals out on each night of your stay to truly experience traditional Spanish dishes. Tapas is their national dish, and it is tremendous. You’ll love it. Whether you’re vegetarian or not, there will always be something on the menu for you! Often, some of the vegetarian tapas are much nicer. These include Patatas Bravas or Pimientos de Padrón, which are some of our favourites! If you want to try making some of these dishes for yourself in your accommodation, then we suggest heading over to the Barcelona market. It’s known as La Rambla, and it is famous for good reason! All of the food is beautifully displayed, and the colours are magnificent.

Go And Watch Messi And Co. At The Nou Camp

If you’re into your sports, particularly football, then Barcelona is the place to be. The Nou Camp, home to FC Barcelona, is the biggest football venue in the whole of Europe, it seats nearly 100,000 spectators for each match. Right now, they’re currently one of the best teams in the world, if not the best. Plus, they also boast the planet’s greatest player, arguably ever, in Lionel Messi. The Argentinian is a real showstopper, so it’s worth going to see him before he hangs up his boots! Tickets up in the gods can be had for relatively cheap, just be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Vamos Barça!

Give Sightseeing A Try

If you’ve made it all the way to Spain, then you’ve got to give sightseeing a try. Barcelona isn’t one of those holidays where you can expect to just relax in the sun for the whole week. You’ve got to get out there and experience a city packed with beautiful architecture! This is something that it is famed for. Your first stop should definitely be the large Roman Catholic church in central Barcelona. It is called La Sagrada Família – it’s phenomenal.

Hit The Beach

Alternatively, if you’re more interested in hitting up the sea and sand, then Barcelona has you covered. This coastal city packs gorgeous white, sandy beaches with views to die for. There’s plenty of different ones to venture out to, probably one for every day of the week if you fancy it! The hustle and bustle of the city suddenly fades away as the sea becomes visible and you leave it all behind as you lie in tranquility in the scorching sun. So, don’t forget your sun block!

Hopefully, this post will help you get the most out of your trip to Barcelona, or, at least, inspired you to book one! If Barcelona isn’t really your thing, why not try elsewhere, such as Boston? Either way, enjoy your vacation!
